Surfin'.

When I was younger, I always used to imaging my wedding on the beach. It was more of a big party then and official reception, but there was twinkly lights and surfboards lined up as the backdrop and almost used as fencing. Bob Marley's "Could you be loved" was also my wedding song. I know that was a long time ago, but I still love the idea. It sounds fun right?

So I went on a hunt to describe what kind of decor I meant in detail. This is what I came up with! More on Bahamas tomorrow!

Pretty huh!

Cvent Destination Guide.

Having a homework party with a friend. Not that I have any homework to do, so I thought I'd slip in a small post. There's no pictures, its more of a tidbit really. For any event planners, planning a meeting, or maybe a corporate event in the Bahamas I suggest for you to check out the Cvent Destination Guide - Bahamas Meeting and Event Planning. It has some great information, and might help you avoid mega-booking catastrophes.

Best.

Don't worry I haven't finished my post's on Bahama's finest venues just yet. However, when I was doing some research this morning, I couldn't help but realize that I missed the best venue of all, not to mention the cheapest.
THE BEACH

Duhhh! Hello! Bahamas some of the most beautiful clear and serene beaches I've ever swam in, not to mention the best white sand around. The beach is a perfect venue for any type of event you want to have. OK, maybe not an AGM, but you know what I mean! Right? Weddings, Luau's, Barbeques, Dinners. You don't even need to spend any money on decor. C'mon now.

Check out these pictures. Then go get married on the beach.

Provence.

Good morning...?.. not really eh. I would defintley love to be back in bed staring at my glow stared cieling. Instead im in my cube at work. Yay!

I realized that I've only touched once or twice on cuisine and restaurant choices in Bahamas. There are some incredible places to eat with incredible prices. However, Provence; a French-Mediterranen Restaurant is very reasonable with delicious food and wine to boot.

Owned by Marc Innocenti, Provence brings the delicious tastes of France to the sweet Caribbean flare of Bahamas.

Provence Favs:

Spiny Lobster and Chicken Bruschetta - with pesto crostini, parmesan cheese and organic greens

Provence Market Plate- Buffalo Mozeralla and Prosciutto ham, grilled chicken breast, goat cheese crostini with roasted portabello mushrooms, tossed greens and brie cheese.
(Best lunch ever!)

Fettucini Aqua - sauteed baby mussels, diver sea scallops and shrimb in basil tomato cream sauce

Kamalame Cay.

Hope everyone had a woozy St. Patrick's Day! I opted for a dinner party instead this year, and really missed the green beer. I may just start adding food colouring to every beer. Festive don't ya think?

So I was doing a bit more research on the parts of Bahamas that I haven't been too, and I happened to stumble on this gem of a private resort called Kamalame Cay. This incredible, secluded destination boasts 96 acres of private beach, coral gardens, and tropical fish. Kamalame also boasts delicious food, freshwater pools, and pool side bars.
Accommodations (Private Resort) :

Anglers Nest - Wooden cottages, with beautiful verandas. Each cottage is stocked with Aveda amenities, board games, books, and luscious decor.

Beach Suites - These suites, obviously look out onto the most pristine beaches and oceans, and come equipped with a fully stocked bar, soaking tub, beautiful sitting area and a veranda most people wish they could sit on.

1-4 Bedroom Villas - Vaulted ceilings is all I need to say. I can't even begin to describe the villas, they are incredible. Beautiful rustic beach decor, huge baths, beds that make you want to catapult yourself into them. (See picture below)

My favourite thing about Kamalame Cay is their ON-THE-WATER SPA. The spa is actually a stilted cottage that looks into and out to the ocean. What is that!? The best pedicure ever.

Kamalame Cay also does weddings of course. Who wouldn't want a beautiful private beach side wedding? They offer full planning services, and can sit guests up to 250 outside and 100 inside. They offer an array of different menu choices, as well as a relaxing buffet dinner.

I think I have told you enough about Kamalame Cay, as I swoon over the pictures at my desk. This incredible destination is calling your name. Just go! Just do it.

Please visit their website for their rate and activity information: http://www.kamalame.com/

Enjoy!

Where Daniel Craig goes for a little romp n' roll in a beautiful villa? Do you remember Daniel Craig naked? ha. Well that beautiful villa was here at the One&Only Ocean Club.
Part of an elite group of locations the One&Only Ocean Club, has been a well known and very private villa-esq hotel for about 45 years. Loved by Oprah and Cindy Crawford this colonial plantation resort exudes luxury.
Costs may be steep to stay here, but it will result in a beautiful vacation, and beautiful memories.
In terms of venue space, they do have corporate meeting rooms, and deluxe villas, which offer roomy space for bigger parties and/or families. Their lush grounds offer the perfect venue for outdoor events and weddings.

Compass Point.

Have you ever imagined paradise? What does it look like? I can tell you my imagined fairy land, has beaches, lots of sun..I mean rum... and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. I'm pretty sure that would leave me quite content for the rest of my life.
Having been to Bahamas, I know there is potential for a paradise like life there, however I never really saw it until I heard about Compass Point. My parents have stayed here, friends of mine have stayed here, and let me tell you I'm going to stay there next. Sorry Atlantis!
Compass point offers 18 of the most beautiful elevated and grounded shack-like cottages. Painted bright shades of turquoise, green and pink, each hut offers a comforting beachy atmosphere while supplying you with your usual hotel amenities.
All rooms boast a private patio (grounded) or balcony (elevated) with an incredible view of the ocean. Romantic? I think so.
Not only is the lodging, completely freakin' awesome, the food is claimed to be even better. Compass Point Restaurant offers the best of Bahamian Cuisine, with the option of indoor dining room or ocean view patio and bar.
I'm not sure If I did my best selling this beautiful resort to you. So below you will find some pictures of Compass Point. Vacation anyone?
