so.

So its what 3 days till' Christmas? Woah...
This could be my last post until after Christmas, not sure yet. I do have the rest of the week off so I might be able to get in a few good posts. I have to say I'm a big Christmas fan. Like huge! I mean I started on the all-Christmas radio station in mid-november. A bit sick? I know!

My favourite part of Christmas has to be the lights. Yes, I love seeing family and friends and hanging around in my pj's all day, but the Christmas lights are just so twinkly and I like things that twinkle.

Here are a few of my favourite Christmas light displays. Enjoy!

P.S. If I'm not back before the holidays. Merry Christmas whoever you are

Shots. Shots. Shots.

For me, jello shooters were always a fun, semi-tacky thing to have at a birthday party, shower or even a tacky farm ho-down (yes I have been to one). Then, as I was getting my Friday morning blog and diet-Pepsi fix I came across some of the prettiest jello shots EVER. I didn't even know jello came in these flavours, let a lone colours. That's probably because I only ever buy the highlighter green colour/flavour. :) Check out these beauty jello shooters from The Austin Wedding Blog.

Sweet Tables.

Sweet tables, are probably the best part of a wedding. But, why not just have one at every event. Or every little dinner party you throw. Check out these sweet tables, or try creating a new concept.

...

So I'm on hiatus which means I am extremely busy at work, and being my mom's cookie baking bitch. Merry Christmas, Bahumbug.

For now, even though I have yet to choose a place and discuss fantastical venues, I wanted to share this little gem of a Toronto venue with you. I found out about them by chance, and was so glad to stumble upon quite possibly the coolest place in Toronto.

Located on Snooker Ave. The Spherical Academy of Arts is a large pool hall, restaurant, entertainment venue and bar.

Its rustic hardwood flooring, antique pool tables, slanted bar and colourful area rugs really make this place feel very comfytrendy (my new word).

I posted a few pics above, hope you like the place. If you get a chance to get down there, go for brunch, their spiced tortilla omelet is awesome!

Rock n Rolla.

Cool theme idea: Rock and Roll

I never really considered this as a pretty theme. I thought it to be a more grunge, ripped t-shirt , beer smelling kind of affair. Which are usually just as awesome. But I found this wedding the other day on one of my early morning wedding blog/coffee binges and fell in love. Which i know i do a lot on here, but cmonnnn how can you not?! Here are a few snapshots of this beautiful Rock and Roll wedding. Check out the full wedding at Green Wedding Shoes

Shutter down.

Even though I had a full Friday off....I still didn't find time to blog. Fail! Anyways, NOLA or New Orleans is shut down, and I'm looking into the next destination. I'm feeling Bahamas...any thoughts?

On Friday night, I attempted more Christmas shopping (I'm almost done) however I really just ended up watching people Christmas shop for me...kinda ruins the surprise don't ya think? Regardless, I was in Club Monaco, and snapped the coolest idea for an event that I have seen in a long time, and I mean lonnggg time.

Clipping display items on clipboards..so simple..and looks pretty chic, and neat! I like neat. As great as it works in the store, I think it would be great and event. Maybe a new approach to a silent auction, or displaying jewellery at an auction? Even grabbing place cards at a wedding.

Just thinking out loud as per usual.

Maybe someone could comment out loud..

Generations Hall.

Generations Hall has got to be one of the most modern venues in NOLA. Sectioned into three main rooms (Metro 1, Metro 2, and The Big Room) it can accommodate any sort of group and or function. It is also complete with state of the art sound, video and av technology. Another cool thing about this venue is that the audio tech will design a set (music and lighting) to go with your event. I know you can usually get that everywhere, but its a nice added bonus!
