Metal.

I'm sure through the many 'rustic'posts you have seen me do that you know I dig that look. Sometimes I enjoy it with a few modern pieces in there, but the more rustic the better. Looking back at my house this morning as I left for work, I noticed the wrought - iron bench and the large earn that holds the seasonal arrangement. ( I will upload a picture shortly. )  I never really looked at steel and wrought-iron as being rustic, but the veranda certainly looked that way this morning. I dug  for a few photos to relay the image. Hope you like.

Tip: Spray paint in mint green, turquoise and rust-red makes for a great distressed look.

These make great centerpieces, breadbaskets, flowerpots, or even table ice buckets for beer. And you can buy them at the Dollar Store. Say Whaaa!?

Geronimo Balloons.

I was always a true hater of balloon decor. You know the balloon banners that you see at parades, and maybe some really corny events. Yuckk! I hate them.

Then I found Geronimo!!! Geronimo opened its doors last year in Los Angeles, and they have the most intricate and fabulous balloons and fastenings, Ive ever come across. Each balloon order will be hand done, with fastenings that fit your theme, and their not your average balloons, they are awesomely HUGE! I've attached some pictures from their website. Please, Please order me a balloon!

All for Geronimo to come to Toronto, raise your hands!
(Yours better be up >:) )
Enjoy!

Theme: Love.

I have no idea, why I never thought of this idea. I've done a few bridal and baby showers, and have never ever once thought of the L O V E theme. Duhhhh Lauren Duhhh! That usually tends to be the feeling circling the room at those types of occasions right? I found a great spread of this theme on 100 Layer Cake, and thought I would share it with you.

Aloha.

So, I came across this beauty wedding on Style Me Pretty, that I just needed to post. (P.s. this may have had an influence on the new destination, not sure : s.) One of the great things about doing outdoor events, is that you can really save on some doe when your looking for decor, your back drop is the outdoors, and really what is more beautiful than Hawaii?

Hope you like...

Decor Tip: DIY people! If your having an outdoor wedding, use the twigs, wild flowers and foilage to your advantage, make you own centerpieces, and boquets, it looks original, and costs nada!

Way back.

So it has been a while...I apologize, I was in event mode at work and it seemed to be more stressful than usual. I finally have a bit of a lull until spring. Woohooo!!! Before I go ahead and make my usual yatta yatta promise of a new destination and next venue I wanted to tell y'all about my DIY posts that I will now be doing as I make them I guess. As soon as I take some pictures of my creations I will be sure to put them up.  Until then, I did make some snazzy bracelets today, and just so happened to have a couple photos. Hope you like!
