New Place.

So...today's torrential downpour wasn't exactly the greatest addition to my trek into work. Thankfully my cover-your-whole-face hood did what it should. So I'm looking for a new destination to talk about, I was thinking New York, as I have been their quite a few times and could talk about my favourite venues. However, that may turn into a blog itself. Thus, not sure how to tackle the New York beast as of yet. Suggestions welcome.

As i doubt I will receive any actual suggestions, from whoever (other then my mom) I will just have to cleverly read your minds and pick one. New destination starts tomorrow.

Artificial Flowers.

Happy Belated Easter peeps. Hope you all had lovely weekends, and are still enjoying them on this Monday. I however, am NOT. Wann Wann. To cheer myself up from being cooped up at work, I thought I'd post about some pretty little things called brooch bouquets. It's exactly what it sounds like a bouquets made from brooches. Insanely heavy and insanely pretty this makes a great centrepiece and or bridal bouquet, that is filled with vintage pieces and maybe even some memories!

Caribe Cafe

I think I have pretty much covered the Bahamas. Covered what I like anyways. Sorry I have been MIA for the past week, but I had a Telethon Event for work and it was crazy busy. But I'm back, however gearing up for a few events in the upcoming months and may dissapear again. But hey, I warned you. Don't miss me too much.

Caribe Cafe.

If your in Bahamas and you don't want to do the whole fancy dinner/lunch or buffet. You have to try the Caribe Cafe. Located inside the Sheraton Nassau on Cable Beach. They have the yummiest jumbo shrimp grilled sandwich you will ever eat in your life. TRUST

So Check it out, and while your at it follow me on twitter : @LaurenSquizzI

Junkanoo.

Ola people! Missed you! Because it's such a beautiful day out and I am clearly not outside enjoying it but behind my desk instead, I thought I'd give a quick post and tie in Bahamas and our old friend NOLA Baby!

Have you ever heard of Junkanoo? No? Its ok, I'm surprised I know what it is. Junkanoo is this awesomely fantastic, mardi-gras reminiscent parade, that can be found in various towns throughout the Bahamas. If you live in Toronto, it would be comparable to Carabana, which is a weekend of fun insanity. It's an amazing time and a spectacle that deserves to be watched.

Google it, wikipedia it, do whatever; as long as you check the event out.

Spring Cakes.

I don't feel words are really necessary to describe this cake. I mean, its the prettiest pastel-y thing I have ever seen! Can you tell I'm running out of Bahamian Venues. Don't worry more coming up soon on Bahamas.

For know, check this beauty out.
