Holidayze.

Christmas is supposed to be vacay time is it not? I used to feel relaxed around Christmas, letting my parents do everything, and kind of just showing up ready to shred some wrapping paper. This year, I had to buy gifts for my side, and my boyfriend's side, and then you have to bake, and cook, and get pretty and its cold out. I love Christmas, I just didn't realize it took so much effort. Cheers to getting older? NOT

Back on track. I was doing my usually morning browse of blogs. I look at roughly 20 per day. Its a bit of an obsession. I came across this really kind of funky Holiday Decor. I would definitely do this as my own Holiday Display. Would you? Do you prefer the traditional red, green and gold?

Tell me your thoughts!? Please? Please?

Holiday Sweet.

12 days in counting till Christmas People!

Can you tell I'm excited!? Maybe this Christmas post will help put everyone in the mood.

Sweet tables any time of the year can be pretty drab, unless you happen to be at my house where my mom tends to over-bake. ( I am totally serious, over 40 different kinds of miniature cookies, iced and dipped to perfection.) I came across a spread of a sweet table on Austin Weddings and it looked so festive and bright that I had to post it. If you have the sweets, buy the little red or green papers, it will definitely help you in expressing your theme.

DIY Bows.

Ola! Sorry for not posting in a while, but its Christmas! Well, sort of. You have to understand that I am completely obsessed with Christmas, to the point that I have this creepy grin on my face whenever I see Christmas lights or hear a Christmas song. My boyfriend and I went for a walk a couple of weeks ago, and there was a very tiny light show going on at City Hall. I had to watch it twice, with the creepy grin in all its glory.

On to better things. I don't feel I have completely finished the Gold Coast, AU as of yet. So, please expect a few more venue posts for that destination. I will hopefully get to post some more Holiday/Christmas themed parties, or events within the next couple of weeks. While your all anxiously waiting for those, ( you are anxiously waiting right??!! ) check out this great DIY Bows tutorial. It's pretty easy, and gives you presents quite a modern edge. Hope you like.

Gush.

So I have this event blog. Right? Have I ever actually posted about other event planners? I thought it was a good time to start sharing some juicy tidbits with everyone, starting with Gush. A friend and co-worker of mine recently started up this fantastic-wonderful Wedding and Events Company, Gush. Having worked with one of the owners for over 4 years now, I can tell you that their events aren't short of amazing! If you are getting married or planning a corporate or social event you need to call these ladies. You won't be sorry.

New Fave.

Monday. Ugh... I really think the week should begin on a Wednesday. Think of the things people would get done. Thankfully, my monday was made better by coming across a great videographer : Mark Brown

I have posted about Loren Brinton before, and I am still a big fan of his work, but Mark's videos just have a very vintage-y touch, and make you feel very happy. Im totally serious, its hard not to smile after watching one.

Check him out.

Organic.

I came across this wedding, that doesn't really delve into an actual decor theme, which I tend not to go for. But there was something simple and beautiful about this. What y'all think?

Moo Moo.

Funny title for today's post, but I remembered this place last night, in between periods of sleep and thought I would share it this morning. Moo Moo's was one of the places that looked so jazzy and classy that you almost wanted to go back home and change before you walked in the doors. Since opening in 2005, Moo Moo's has been named one of the finest restaurants on the Gold Coast. They are best known for their steaks, winning awards steadily every year.

So the food is great, literally. The Australian wine they pair with you meal of choice, even greater. The decor however is perfect. The neutral, modern interior is perfect for any business or holiday party. They can even host your wedding reception and cater the dinner to your likes and preferences. Nice right. Their event staff and manager will work with you to create the event your after.

Intro Christmas.

48 Days until Christmas!! I know that's a ways away, but I really love the Christmas Holidays, so I tend to start a little early. I have been listening to the all year long Christmas Online Radio Station, which really just makes the day that much more cheery. I came across this cute Christmas decor, and thought I'd share. Hopefully it will spruce up your day.

Mexican Colour.

On my usual morning blog browse, I came across this really weird Frida-Mexican inspired decor. Everything was done outdoors which really made me yearn for a  little heat. The skulls and bright colours oddly go well together. I definitely want to try this one out. (Pictures sourced from : Green Wedding Shoes)

Palazzo Versace.

I am almost positive that everyone knows or owns a little piece of Versace. The fabrics and design that come out of their fashion shows are some of the best in the world. Not many people I talk to at home have heard about the Versace Palazzo Luxury Hotel, located in the Gold Coast, in Brisbane, Australia.(Every time I type Australia, my heart breaks to go back..never fails) This hotel located on the Broad Beach Marina, is probably one of the most amazing places I have every stayed at. You just want to hug the pillows, and maybe wear a couple of curtains.

Palazzo Versace boasts a total of four dining areas.Vie Bar + Restaurant, which overlooks the privately owned marina. There is Il Barocco which remains open all day and offers a delicious array of Italian meals. Then there is the Le Jardin - Lobby Lounge, where one can enjoy high tea or late evening cocktails. Finally there is Vanitas which hosts the most amazing international cuisine ever! I mean ever!

I'm not going to go into detail about their event details and options, as they do have many however they do have a total of 6 different conference areas allowing for up to 500 guests to be accommodated. Check out their Meetings and Events here.

If you are ever on the Gold Coast, and you want a fancy night out or a quick cuddle with some gown like curtains, make your way to the Palazzo Versace. You won't want to leave.
