Spring Fling.

I decided to go for a cheery post today! Technically speaking it is Spring. Visually speaking not so much. Its cold, and then hot, and then snow, and then rain. Bleh. Just don't come near Toronto until June..your safer then.

I snuck in a mid-day blog perusal today. Much needed, being this is the longest week in history's of weeks. On my usual gawking of 100 Layer Cake I came across this beautiful, bright and edgy fiesta wedding in Cabo. It was some serious boho chic. Fantastica......(don't make fun of my espanol)

Check out these pictures, make a comment or five...

Bad at this.

I have come to the conclusion, that I am awful at remembering to blog. Even though I look at blogs everyday...LEGIT everyday. I can't seem to get on my own and post. So sorry, to those who read. I have been busy, cosmetic schooling on weekends takes up some time, work is well work, and then there is the rest of my life, clustered and wonderful. Anyways, my bad! New post to come!

Breath of Spring.

It's still pretty cold here in Toronto..but Spring is on the way in all its trench-coat glory. Sorry for the lack of posts..I've had a busy start to the year, with work, birthdays, Cosmetic School (exciting!)..so much to do!

I'm not sure why I decided to post today, I have so much work and planning to do this week, that I am finding it hard to brush my hair, let alone publish a post. However, I snuck in a mini peruse, and was drooling over the Baby's Breath bouquets and arrangements I was seeing. It's such a nice filler, in rose arrangements, and other centrepieces, but alone it is stunning. It looks so rustic, and pretty..I just love it! I love it! I find it looks best in a mason jar, however I think everything looks good in mason jars so I may be biased. I'll include a few pics below! Let me know your thoughts!

Enjoy the Breath du Bebe!

Be Mine.

Its almost Valentine's day people! I admit its not what it used to be...
I definitely don't get as many cards in my mailbox as I used to. Sad.

Regardless, now that I am older, I have the means to plan a totally beautiful Valentine's Dinner Party!

Check out my inspiration below!Enjoy!!

Hippie Hippie Shake.

The 70's were great right? I am actually asking, as I was no where near being alive in that decade. But it looked like pretty fun, stylish kinda time. Who doesn't love bell-bottoms??

I came across this rustic hippie wedding featured on Green Wedding Shoes and just had to share.

How to.

Another great video from Emily at Cupcakes and Cashmere

Enjoy..

Cactus.

My lovely grandmother is a florist. I remember when I was little my G-ma would come home from work, and bring my sister and I a little potted rose or Pansie. I loved them like crazy until they wilted and died, due to my lack of water duty. There was this one time when she brought me home a tiny cactus. I am not sure if she subconsciously knew that I had difficulty remembering to water living things, but somehow she knew. I had this teenie cactus for about a year, loved loved it on my bedside table ( having a plant made me feel mature), until it started to get cob webby and had to go. I guess I should have also dusted more...my bad.

The story above was supposed to relay my like of cactus...I am not so sure it did, but you get the picture. You don't really see cactus too often anymore. I didn't anyway. Until I started my wedding and event blog peruse in the mornings. I saw more and more bouquets and centerpieces incorporating cactus. The more I saw, the more I loved it, possibly because it reminded me of my G-ma, who I can honestly say is one of the best people in the world, and I am genuinely lucky to have her. They just look really pretty and give the florals a bit of an edge.

Try them out at a summer affair, its not like they're going to wilt.
