Maison Dupuy Hotel.

Sorry for the absence in posts. I had a busy week, not to mention an interesting weekend. But that's a whole other story.

Back to New Orleans.

I have once again fallen in love with a new hotel. The Maison Dupuy Hotel. It is a quaint hotel located in the French Quarter, that offers beautiful rooms, suites, catering and the most beautiful courtyard. They are famous for their courtyard weddings and events, and let me tell you once you see this pictures you'll see why. It is the prettiest, most secret-garden-like courtyard that I've seen. Beautiful stone and natural light make this courtyard the perfect place for a spring garden party or summer wedding.

Birdcage Decor.

So, I have this new obsession with birdcages. I know it sounds slightly creepy, but they're just so pretty, and you can put whatever you want in them. I personally like them with candles or a couple of peonies. They give a rustic touch to any room, or add a secret-garden-feel to an event. Think centerpieces people!!

Before Summer is out.

I would like to tell you that I am way to mature to throw a garden party and drink tea, in a pretty floral dress. But, I'm so not because tea/garden parties absolutley thrill me! A garden party is a great idea for a bridal shower, birthday parties and or just an excuse to get together and laugh, eat pastries and drink tea. Plus, you get to wear a pretty dress. Fantastic!

The Berkley

Nestled in the trendy Liberty Village, sits The Berkley Heritage Event Venue. This complex consists of two spaces, Berkley Church (1871) and the Field House. I've never personally experienced the Field House, except a quick glance in. However, last year I did attend my friend Charlene's wedding at Berkley Church. It was exquisite. The large stained glass windows, and light hard word flooring create an airy and secret-garden like ambience. It is truly a magnificent venue, that offers some a little bit of everything.
