Place Cards.

Ughh Wednesday. I know I have posted about place cards before. But I came across this nifty idea, courtesy of my aunt, or as I know her YA YA! Place Cards, and name cards can tend to look tacky, with all the cursive writing and the long names. I recently went to a wedding and they had no place cards, only a board with the names and table designations. I didn't like that too much. This type of place setting may not be ideal for a large event or a wedding, but if your having a dinner party or some kind of seated event at your house or in a small banquet room, these are totally appropriate.

D.I.Y How To: Your going to have to find the rusty nails or any other object you might want to string together.

  • Bunch 8 -10 nails
  • Tie with raffia, yarn or rope (your choice)
  • Add first or both initials and a trinket of your choice
(Trinkets and letter tags available at Micheal's)

I know right?!

Gold Coast.

I have been mulling over different locations for a good month now. I thought about Italy, or Paris, even Amsterdam but I just wasn't feeling it. Then, this morning I was looking at an album from my last trip back to Australia, and decided why not choose my favourite place.

Gold Coast and Brisbane it is!

More to come tomorrow.

Display.

I admit I probably read more blogs than actually blog myself. My early morning fix is always a look at CupcakesandCashmere When I was on their site this morning, I came across a collaboration video between Emily from CupcakesandCashmere and Juicy Couture about ways to entertain. Its one of three videos to be released, and it really gives some good decor and display ideas, and the video totally beats looking at pictures.  I hope you enjoy and I will post the remaining two as soon as I see them.

A little hippie.

I didn't forget about blogger, I promise. Just a little busy with work, more pics from some of my events will follow! I also hope to pick a new destination. Any suggestions? Cmon??

As I was doing my usual event blog browsing this morning, I came across an interesting theme on Green Wedding Shoes.  At first I wasn't really into the whole psychedelic, hippie theme, but as I continued to look through the photos, it really grew on me. I don't think I would have gone with so much pink and purples, but the I did like the lack of fear to use all that colour.

A neat addition: More carpets and pillows outside, with the hanging canopies above them

Hope you like it.
